Customer Success Specialist Job Opening in New York City, New York Job#16858942
Work Type: On site
Visa: Visa transfers including OPT and H-1B - no new visa sponsorship

An early-stage marketplace that connects brands with content creators is building its first dedicated customer success team in New York. You'll be the go-to problem solver for both brands and creators, handling onboarding, payments, disputes, campaign setup, and platform questions across chat, email, calls, and shared channels. When something breaks, you'll dig in with internal tools to find the cause yourself before bringing in engineering, then turn repeat issues into product feedback that prevents them from happening again. You'll also shape how support scales by training the company's AI assistant to resolve more questions on its own, writing clear documentation, and building workflows that keep response quality high as volume grows. The package includes a competitive base salary, meaningful equity in a seed-stage company, relocation support, and a commission plan expected to launch within the next few months.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in customer success, support, or account management at a SaaS company, marketplace, or online platform
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of conversations at once without letting anything slip
  • Able to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve account problems on your own using internal tools
  • Strong ownership mindset: you see problems through to resolution instead of handing them off
  • Sound independent judgment and comfort with the pace and intensity of an early-stage startup
  • Experience with AI-powered support tools or running several tickets in parallel is a plus
  • Background in the creator economy, influencer marketing, or user-generated content is a strong plus
  • Experience at a two-sided marketplace connecting buyers and sellers or clients and freelancers is highly valued
  • Able to work on-site in New York City

In New York, you can go from a morning ride through Prospect Park to an evening at a Broadway show or a rooftop in Williamsburg. Neighborhoods range from walk-up apartments in Astoria and the East Village to leafy family blocks in Park Slope, with top schools and universities like Columbia, NYU, and Cornell Tech nearby. The city's startup, media, and creator economy scenes make it an ideal place to grow a career in consumer tech.
