A fast-growing AI data startup is hiring a Strategic Projects Lead in Seattle to run some of its most complex, deadline-driven customer engagements. You will take a vague research goal from a frontier AI lab and turn it into a dataset researchers trust, owning each project from kickoff to delivery and working directly with researchers, engineers and expert contributors from day one. Day to day, you will track what each customer needs and ship on time to a high-quality bar, find, hire and lead pools of expert contributors through influence rather than authority, reprioritize milestones when requirements change overnight, build the internal tools and workflows behind each deliverable alongside engineers, and review trajectories, verifiers and evals before they reach customers. The role is hybrid with three days onsite, and compensation includes a competitive base salary, potential bonus and equity. The company is open to visa transfers (such as OPT and H1B) and to new visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking or a fast-paced startup operations role
Background in top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity or VC-backed startup operations
Track record of delivering customer projects under tight deadlines, with ownership of the outcome
High agency, sound judgment and real excitement about working in AI data
Preferred: Prior experience as a Strategic Projects Lead or Deployment Strategist at an AI data lab or technology firm
Preferred: Degree from a top-30 program, and a technical-adjacent background with exposure to trajectories, verifiers and evals (comfort with vibe coding is a plus)
