Strategic Project Lead - Enterprise AI and Frontier Lab Data

  • San Francisco, California

Strategic Project Lead Job Opening in San Francisco, California Job#16869741 - Enterprise AI and Frontier Lab Data

Join an eight-person AI data startup in San Francisco at the start of a major hiring wave, and take on the work that sits at the center of the company: helping enterprises in engineering and life sciences apply AI to their most valuable workflows, then turning that work into datasets and evaluations for frontier AI labs. This is not a typical expert-network operations seat. As a Strategic Project Lead, you will drive enterprise go-to-market and outbound, such as rolling out deployments across a private equity firm’s portfolio companies, build executive pitch decks, prepare materials for employee shadowing sessions so engineers can build products that fit each business, and run the operations that turn enterprise data into tasks for AI labs, including quality checks and removal of personal information. You will also hire and coordinate small groups of domain experts, manage the schedule, quality and cost of delivery to lab customers, and co-own lab accounts alongside an Environment Engineer, with a clear path to Engagement Manager and then General Manager. Compensation is a competitive base salary plus commission and equity. The team works onsite six days a week, so this role suits someone who is hungry, high-ownership and ready to grow quickly.

Qualifications

  • 0 to 4 years of experience in consulting, banking, operations or startup operations and go-to-market, with a clear signal of quality such as a top firm, a top school or an early-stage startup
  • Experience running projects or workstreams at a top consulting firm, a bank or an early-stage startup
  • Analytical skills, including using data to make staffing and delivery decisions
  • Client-facing experience with senior or executive stakeholders, such as building decks, running discovery or pitching
  • Degree from a top university
  • Experience delivering AI training and evaluation programs
  • Ability to take a project from zero to one and scale it with real ownership
  • Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco on a six-day-a-week schedule
  • Visa transfers (such as OPT or H1B transfers) and new visa sponsorship are available for qualified candidates
  • Nice to have: experience managing distributed teams, working with enterprise data, or startup go-to-market and outbound

Location

  • San Francisco offers cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge, sunrise runs along the Embarcadero and quick escapes to Muir Woods. Housing ranges from shared flats in the Mission and SoMa to quieter streets in the Richmond, and Stanford, Berkeley and UCSF sit within easy reach. It is also the center of the AI industry, so frontier labs and fast-growing startups are close by.
